We are having crazy weather here in Texas, pray everyone stays out of harm. And please continue your prayers for Eli and the rest.

Today’s devotion is called, ” A heart of loyalty ” 2nd Chronicles 25:2 says, And he did what was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a loyal heart. This is speaking of King Amaziah. He did right but his heart wasn’t loyal. What is a loyal heart? it’s a heart that’s been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. A person can be very religious and still not have a loyal heart. We see this with the Pharisees of Jesus’ time and we see it with those who are in false religious organizations that have false teaching. Our hearts will be loyal when we turn to Jesus without hypocrisy, in other words we really mean it. Even in the church today there are some who are just going through the motions. Like the song Amazing grace, we need to recognize our need for God and our helplessness without Him. Be honest with God in everything because He already knows and you will be heading in the right direction to have a loyal heart. A heart of loyalty can only come from God.
